Sunflower Oil has been cold pressed from Sunflower seeds. It is a clear odourless oil that is often used as a cooking oil. It has high amounts of Oleic Acid (Omega 9), as well as Vitamin E and a low proportion of saturated fat per total fat content. Sunflower Oil with a high Oleic content is able to be cooked at high temperatures without compromising its nutritional profile. It makes a great cooking oil because it has a high monounsaturated content with low saturated fat levels, making it a healthy alternative to other cooking oils. Its high smoke point means it can be used for frying and cooking.
