Wasabi peas are green peas that have been roasted and dipped in a wasabi coating. Wasabi itself is a form of the horseradish plant grown in Japan. The root is harvested and made into a paste or powder for flavoring food. Wasabi peas are very crunchy little snacks with a distinctly sharp, fiery flavor.
