Often confused as a grain, Couscous is actually a type of pasta made from tiny steamed balls of semolina flour. It is an extremely easy, fast and versatile food, working especially well as a side dish with stews or saucy main dishes. Alternatively, it can be mixed with other ingredients to turn create salads, stuffings or more interesting sides.
Add 1 1/2 cups of boiling water or stock to 1 cup of couscous. Cover and let stand for 5-10 minutes. Add 1 Tbsp of olive oil or butter to couscous and fluff up with a fork.
