Currants are a black, shriveled, flavor-packed fruit made from the drying of a dark red, seedless grape called Black Corinth. Originally cultivated in Greece on the island of Zante, they are often still referred to as Zante currants in the US. Great for use in cooking, baking, and decorating ginger bread cookies.
