These Brown Laird Lentils are a larger sized lentil with a yellow inside. Holding their shape well when cooked, and readily absorbing the flavours of other ingredients, they are a firm vegetarian favourite. They are also a great source of protein and dietary fibre, while being naturally low in fat and sugar. A great addition to both hot and cold dishes, use them to bulk out hearty meals, soups and salads.
TO COOK: Rinse. Add 1 cup of lentils to 4 cups boiling water. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes, until tender.
